Welcome to a journey toward more conscious living

Remori

Have you ever sat at dinner with a friend, only to watch them glance at their phone mid-conversation? In a world of constant notifications, true presence has become a rare luxury.

After 13 years of professional exploration, countless conversations, and deep reflection on the hospitality industry, my colleague Joel and I have embarked on a journey that has transformed our understanding of what makes life truly meaningful.

We call this journey Remori.

A Moment of Recognition

Working in hospitality has offered us a unique window into the modern human experience. We've witnessed how the relentless pace of contemporary life affects both our guests and colleagues. People desperately seek moments of connection while simultaneously being pulled away by digital demands and performance pressures.

This contradiction became impossible to ignore: the very industry designed to create rejuvenating experiences operates within systems that often perpetuate disconnection. Our guests arrive seeking escape yet struggle to be fully present even in carefully designed environments meant to facilitate exactly that.

What does it reveal about our society when we must schedule a time to remember how to be human?

Beyond Brand: A Movement for Reconnection

Remori isn't merely another brand in the crowded hospitality landscape—it represents a conscious return to what fundamentally makes us human.

Our guiding philosophy, "Life is black and white; Remori adds the color," speaks to how presence and connection bring vibrancy to existence.

Through our journey, we've identified three interconnected principles that form Remori's foundation:

Conscious presence – Recognizing that every moment offers an opportunity to fully experience life rather than simply move through it. How might our educational and hospitality spaces transform if presence became our primary metric of success?

Community mindset – Understanding that our greatest challenges require collective approaches and shared wisdom. What becomes possible when we view our differences as complementary rather than competitive?

Hospitality thinking – Embracing the profound truth that each interaction, however brief, carries the potential for meaningful human care. Could this mindset transform not just service encounters but all professional relationships?

From Reflection to Action: The Re³ Approach

These principles take practical form through what we've come to call our REMORI methodology—a framework for transforming abstract values into tangible practices:

Rewind – Creating intentional spaces to disconnect from digital demands and reconnect with analog experiences that engage all our senses

Rethink – Questioning assumptions about consumption, productivity, and success that have become so normalized we no longer notice their effects

Reboot – Implementing practical routines and environmental adjustments that make sustainable change possible

This approach has profoundly influenced not only our personal practices but our entire professional philosophy. We've discovered that the principles of mindful engagement create environments—whether in hospitality settings or educational spaces—where authentic human connection becomes not just possible but inevitable.

The Invitation

What aspects of your daily experience have become mechanical rather than meaningful? Where might you introduce small moments of presence that ripple outward into larger transformations?

Remori invites you to join a community of practitioners dedicated to reintroducing color to our increasingly monochrome world. Through exploration and experimentation, we aim to build sustainable, connected ways of being.

The journey toward reclaiming our humanity begins with a single moment of presence. Join the Remori community → Remori’s Newsletter
