The Thursday Pause

When Everything's On Fire

Heyyy there, Remori People!

This morning I laughed at my calendar. Not the good kind of laughter though…

Three deadlines colliding. Parent duties. Lesson plans I'm catching up on. And my kid is asking if we can "play for a moment."

I still can't say no. Working on it.

But here's what I'm learning from Ryan Holiday’s “The Obstacle is the Way” book:

"Not: This is not so good. But: I can make this good. Because it can be done."

What if the chaos IS the training?

So today, let's practice making the busy good—three micro-practices for keeping both mind and body intact when life accelerates:

1️⃣ The Energy Check

Before your next meeting: "What actually gives me energy right now?"

Pair one soul-sucking task with one thing that lights you up.

2️⃣ The Sacred Pause

Someone wants your time? Say: "Let me check my capacity."

Even 5 minutes changes everything.

3️⃣ Find Your Anchor

Right now. One tiny thing.

Coffee cup. Student's laugh. Kid's voice.

Don't manage life. Live it.

"Life is black and white; Remori adds the color."

What's your biggest struggle with saying no? Still figuring this out myself.
