The Thursday Pause
Admit it—your screen time report is basically a crime scene investigation at this point.
The irony wasn't lost on me: scrolling LinkedIn while listening to a podcast about mindfulness—and making a to-do list at the same time.
We're all guilty of this digital juggling act.
My ability to focus apparently was.
What if less is actually more?
Not in that annoying minimalist-influencer way where they show off their empty mansion. I mean genuinely more—more focus, more meaning, more life.
Monday's Reset challenged us to consider subtraction as the path to better. Today, I'm giving you three ridiculously simple pauses that prove this point. They take minutes but might just change everything.
1️⃣ The Digital Detox Hour
Try this: Choose one hour today where you'll disconnect completely from screens. No phone, no laptop, no smartwatch—nothing with notifications or updates. Simply exist in the analog world.
This isn't about productivity—it's about remembering how it feels to be fully present without digital demands pulling at your attention.
2️⃣ The One Thing Ritual
Try this: Before starting your next task, ask yourself: "What single element makes this most meaningful?" Then eliminate anything that doesn't directly serve that purpose.
When we focus on the essential, everything else falls into place. What's remarkable is how much clearer our work becomes when we stop trying to do everything at once.
3️⃣ The Sensory Reset
Try this: Pause for 60 seconds and focus on just one sense—what you hear, feel, see, smell, or taste right now. No multitasking, no planning ahead—just one sense, fully experienced.
This brief reset reconnects you with the physical world in a way that technology simply cannot replicate—it grounds you in the reality of the present moment.
"Life is black and white; Remori adds the color."
